SPAGO is an award-winning Italian restaurant founded in 2011 by chef Eddie Leung. Its flagship location, SPAGO Beverly Hills, is a fine dining establishment that specializes in hand-made fresh pasta, sourced from the finest Australian durum wheat flour and made using traditional Italian methods. SPAGO, which means "ball of strings" in Italian, pays homage to the shape of spaghetti.
While SPAGO Beverly Hills remains a popular spot for special occasions and casual nights out, Eddie wanted to bring his unique touch to a wider audience. In 2018, SPAGO opened a second location in Chatswood, which offers a more casual café-style dining experience, catering to a larger customer base with extended opening hours, breakfast, and coffee options.
In 2020, SPAGO launched its third location in Darling Square, featuring a range of Asian-inspired pasta salads that are lighter and gluten-free, perfect for office workers and travelers looking for a quick bite.
In 2021, SPAGO expanded its presence with the opening of SPAGO Barangaroo, a casual pasta and coffee bar located in The Canteen at Barangaroo, a contemporary showcase of quality, casual dining and modern design. With a range of Italian pasta dishes and coffee drinks, it's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to grab a quick lunch or mid-afternoon break.
The newest addition to the SPAGO family is SPAGO Warringah Mall, which opened in 2022. Located in the bustling Warringah Mall in Brookvale, this location focuses on casual dining, with an emphasis on pizza and breakfast items, in addition to their signature handmade fresh pasta and coffee.
SPAGO's success can be attributed to its commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients and innovative twists on classic Italian dishes, catering to a diverse range of customers with its different locations and menus. As the motto goes, innovating for an Italian palate since 2011.
